
No. 6/7 Softball Hosts Wednesday Rematch With USF

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Coming off a series win over No. 13/16 Mississippi State, the No. 6/7 Florida softball team wraps up its four-game home stand with a in-state midweek rematch against USF.
First pitch is set for 7 p.m. on ESPN2 from Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium with Madison Shipman (analyst) and Matt Schumacker (play-by-play).
Fans can also listen on WRUF where Ryan Urquhart and Lance Williams will have the radio call.
The Gators (36-5) faced USF (29-12) during opening weekend in Tampa on Feb. 8, defeating the Bulls, 6-1.

- Kenleigh Cahalan's RBI double on Sunday brought her to 49 RBIs on the year, matching her single-season career best which she set as a junior in 2025

- Shumaker has plated at least one run in 85% (35-of-41) games this season
- The Gators, who lead the nation in doubles (82), have four different players with double-digit doubles: Taylor Shumaker (11), Gabi Comia (11), Cahalan (10) and Kendall Grover (10)
- With a team-best 59 RBIs already, Erickson has matched her RBI total from 2025. She also has a single-season career best of 17 home runs
- Erickson, who ranks fifth in the country in home runs (17), has hit 47 home runs as a Gator. She needs just one more to tie former teammate Reagan Walsh (48) for fifth-most career home runs in program history
- 49% of Erickson's hits have been for extra bases this season, including 17 home runs, 9 home runs and Florida's sole triple
- Both Florida (.986) and USF (.981) rank in the top-10 in the NCAA in fielding percentage at No. 3 and No. 9, respectively
