Logan King Named SEC Co-Defensive Player of the Week

King notched a career-high seven blocks against Florida State on Friday night.
BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – After posting a career-high in blocks on Friday, Florida's Logan King has been named a Southeastern Conference Co-Defensive Player of the Week for her performance against Florida State.
The Toronto, Canada, native tallied a career-high seven blocks in the Gators' 3-1 win over the Seminoles, while matching career-highs with one solo block and six block assists. King's defensive contributions didn't end at the net, as the third-year added seven digs, her second-most in an outing this season.
On the offensive side of the net, King added nine kills, an assist and an ace to help bolster the Orange & Blue's attack. She ended the match with 14 points.
King becomes the first Gator to win an SEC Defensive Player of the Week honor since Elli McKissock claimed the award on Nov. 4, 2024, after notching back-to-back 20-dig matches against Arkansas and Ole Miss.
No. 8 Florida volleyball is back in action on Wednesday, Sept. 23, when the Gators welcome the Jacksonville Dolphins to the Stephen C. O'Connell Center for a 6:30 p.m. ET match on SEC Network+. Fans can also listen in on ESPN 98.1 FM/850 AM WRUF.
