GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 17 Florida volleyball team is set to open the 2026 regular season on Sunday, Aug. 30, when the Stony Brook Seawolves visit the Stephen C. O'Connell Center for a 1 p.m. ET first serve.
Sunday's match will be streamed live on SEC Network+ with Ryan Urquhart and Missy Whittemore on the call. Fans can also tune in to 98.1 FM WRUF, where Tom Collett and Nick Cheronis will handle broadcast responsibilities.

- The Gators made history when they competed at Spikes Under the Lights on Aug. 27, becoming part of the first collegiate or professional match to take place in an NFL stadium and first match to air on TNT.
- Florida was picked to finish fourth in the SEC Preseason Poll, behind favorite Kentucky, Texas and Texas A&M. Jordyn Byrd and Alec Rothe were both named to the Preseason All-SEC Team.
- The Orange & Blue will be looking to win their seventh-consecutive home opener. Dating back to 1991, the Gators boast a 32-3 record in home openers, and are 36-6 all-time in their home openers.
- Florida enters the 2026 campaign ranked No. 17 in the opening AVCA Top-25 poll. With their ranking, the Gators have now appeared in the preseason top-25 for 36-consecutive seasons, also marking the seventh preseason appearance for Ryan Theis during his head coaching career.
- Head coach Ryan Theis is entering his second season with the Gators after leading UF to its 35th-straight NCAA Tournament appearance.
- Junior setter Taylor Parks sits just 32 assists away from becoming the 18th Gator to record 1,000 assists during her career.
- Stony Brook visits Gainesville with a 1-2 record after three matches in Orlando, Fla. The Seawolves defeated Robert Morris, 3-2, in the season-opener before dropping matches to North Carolina State (3-0) and UCF (3-0).
- Quinn Anderson and Ella Sanders lead the Seawolves offensive effort with 34 kills each at 3.09 kills per set. Defensively, Damisi Osibodu and Ayanna Pierre Louis boast 12 blocks.
- The Seawolves were picked to finish sixth in the Colonial Athletic Association Preseason Poll, with junior outside hitter Quinn Anderson picking up Preseason All-CAA honors.
- Sunday will be Stony Brook's fifth match against an SEC opponent and first since matching up against Auburn in 2016. Overall, the Seawolves are 0-4 against the SEC.
