GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After four-consecutive road matchups, No. 10 Florida volleyball is set to return home on Wednesday, Sept. 9, to host Miami in the 'Showdown at the Net' ACC/SEC Challenge at 8 p.m. ET.
The 2026 "Showdown at the Net" ACC/SEC Challenge features 16 ACC and 16 SEC programs in a two-day event. Teams will go head-to-head across 14 matches before a double-header inside the State Farm Field House at Walt Disney World Resort.
The match will be broadcast on SEC Network, with Daniel Gillman and Camryn Irwin on the call. Fans can also listen to the match on 98.1 WRUF with Tom Collett and Nick Cheronis.
Prior to Wednesday's match, the Stephen C. O'Connell Center will host a match between Orangewood Christian and Trinity Catholic, with first serve scheduled for 5 p.m. ET.

- The Gators are ranked No. 10 in the Sept. 7 AVCA/TARAFLEX Top 25 poll. With this week's rankings, Florida volleyball is in the top 10 for the first time since the Sept. 2, 2024 poll, where they also sat at No. 10.
- The Gators have already tallied a pair of ranked victories, defeating No. 11 Minnesota, 3-1, as well as No. 20 Baylor, 3-0. With the victory over Minnesota, Florida now boasts a win over a top-25 school during the nonconference for the 13th-straight season.
- The 3-0 win over No. 20 Baylor marked the first sweep over a top-25 team since defeating No. 5 Minnesota, 3-0, on Sept. 23, 2023.
- Kamryn Chaney recorded a career-high .786 (12-1-14) hitting percentage against No. 20 Baylor, becoming the first Gator to hit over .750 with at least 10 attempts since Lauren Dooley hit .833 at Mississippi State on Nov. 10, 2019. Her hitting moves her to fifth in school history for a single match with at least 10 attempts, joining the list behind Chloe Mann (.900), Rhamat Alhassan (.810 and .800) and Darrielle King (.789).
- Alec Rothe helped anchor the Florida defense against No. 5 Wisconsin, recording a career-high 11 blocks, including a career-high 10 block assists, as well as a solo block. Rothe's 11 blocks are the seventh-most by an individual in the NCAA so far this season, are tied for ninth in a single match in school history and her 10 block assists are tied for sixth in a single match in school history.
- Lily Hayes is sneaking up on her 500th career dig, currently holding 472.
- Florida was picked to finish fourth in the SEC Preseason Poll, behind favorite Kentucky, Texas and Texas A&M. Jordyn Byrd and Alec Rothe were both named to the Preseason All-SEC Team.
- Miami enters Wednesday's contest with an 0-4 mark, most recently falling to UCLA in a pair of matches.
- The Hurricanes were picked to finish seventh in the ACC, with setter Ariana Rodriguez picking up Preseason All-ACC honors.
- Rodriguez leads Miami with 10.50 assists/set, while Asia Harvey has tallied 53 kills to pace the offense, good for 3.79 per set.
- Defensively, Harvey and Gaby Arroyo serve as the anchors with 23 and 22 digs, respectively. At the net, Denitsa Angelova averages a team-high 0.92 blocks per set, with 11 total blocks on the season.
- Miami was receiving votes in the season-opening AVCA/TARAFLEX Top 25 poll.
- Head coach Jose Gandara has led the Hurricanes to five-consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, and nine overall.
