Year of the Gator when it comes to SEC, conference awards

A look at UF Players and Coaches of the Year for 2010-11.

Gators senior OF Kelsey Bruder received some good news Wednesday afternoon when she was named SEC Player of the Year.

If someone didn't know better, they might think SEC headquarters were located at The Swamp based on how many Gators have won SEC honors this sports calendar year.

Heck, even men's basketball coach Billy Donovan was named SEC Coach of the Year. That had never happened despite two national titles.

According to our sources, the SEC office remains in Birmingham. It's just been a very good year for the Gators, who have added to their collection of trophies this season at a dizzying pace.

If you were picking Gator of the Year, you have ample options to choose from.
