GAINESVILLE, Fla. – No.3 Florida picked up a pair of wins on the final day of the Bubly Invitational with decisions over Syracuse, 8-2, and Florida A&M, 7-1, at Katie Seashole Pressly Stadium.
 
In the first game against the Orange (4-9), the Gators (18-0) were led by strong performances from Amanda Lorenz and Kendyl Lindaman at the plate, while Kelly Barnhill (9-0) and Elizabeth Hightower combined for seven quality innings in the circle.
 
Offensively, Florida collected eight runs on eight hits as Lorenz contributed a pair to go with three runs scored and an RBI on a solo home run to start the game, which was Lorenz's fourth leadoff homerun this season. Lindaman continued her hot start to the season with a two-RBI single in the second inning and a groundout that scored another later in the sixth.
 
Barnhill contributed 4.2 innings of scoreless softball that included seven strikeouts, while she only allowed three hits en route to the win for her and the team.
 
In the second game of the day for UF against the Lady Rattlers (1-12), and the final game of the Bubly Invitational, the offense and defense continued to produce.
 
Danni Farley (2-0) was consistent against FAMU as she hurled five strikeouts through 6.2 innings and limited the opposition to just a pair of hits and run.
 
Offensively, Jordan Roberts, Jaimie Hoover and Hannah Adams led the way for the Gators as the trio combined for five of the seven hits and runs in the game.
 
Overall, there was plenty to be proud of for the Gators at the Bubly Invitational. One of the most notable being the .353 average at the plate and 44 runs scored over the six-game span.

B-3rd	4-0	The Gators continued the scoring in the third with a groundout from Hannah Sipos that scored Adams to give UF a four-run lead early in the game.

T-6th	5-1	Syracuse scratched across a run in the sixth thanks to a Hannah Dossett single that scored Neli Casares-Maher.
B-6th	6-1	With what seems to be a constant theme this season, the Gators answered the Orange's score with runs of their own. This time it was a Lindaman groundout to score Reynoso.
B-6th	8-1	The offensive pressure continued for Florida when Jordan Roberts doubled to right field to score Matthews and Lorenz.
T-7th	8-2	The Orange tacked on one more run late in the game via an Alicia Hansen single to short that scored Toni Martin.

B-2nd	3-0	With Voss still at the plate, a wild pitch from FAMU's Brandice Boatwright allowed Adams to score the final run of the frame.
B-3rd	6-0	The runs support continued in the third when Roberts drove a ball well over the left field wall to score herself, Lily Mann and Lorenz.
B-5th	7-0	With two outs and FAMU looking to retire the side, Hoover hit a solo homer to extend Florida's lead by another run over the Lady Rattlers.
T-6th	7-1	FAMU pulled one run back in the sixth when Jamesia Stoudemire hit a hard line-drive double to the wall in right that plated Athena Andrews.

• With her walk against Syracuse, Lorenz broke the school walks record with 187 in her career.
  • On the season, Lorenz has 11 walks and is the NCAA's active career leader in walks.
