GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Florida Gators Track and Field concluded competition in the Pepsi Florida Relays on Saturday. The final day of Florida's first home meet of the season saw multiple collegiate-leading performances by Gator athletes.

Highlights
Hurdles
The day's top performances came in the 100mH and 110mH events. Habiba Harris, a freshman out of Jamaica, opened the day's events on the track with an excellent 12.85-second performance in the 100m Hurdles Prelims. With the mark, Harris set the wind-legal world-No. 2 time, and vaulted herself to the No. 5 position in Florida history in the event. As if that performance wasn't enough, in the final of the event she ran an extraordinary 12.69 time, taking the collegiate lead. Had he finals run been wind-legal, it would have been the No. 2 time in program history.
In the 110m Hurdles,
Demaris Waters had an equally historic day. The junior opened his day with a wind-aided 13.26 time, a new personal best and NCAA No. 3 time. Like Harris, he showed out once again in the Final, posting a 13.21 mark, resetting his personal best. His time from the finals vaulted him into the annals of Florida's program history in the high hurdles, claiming the No. 2 time by a Gator, second only to collegiate record holder and Bowerman winner Grant Holloway. His mark tied the world lead among wind-legal marks.
Jumps
Both of the Gators' freshman triple jumpers had excellent outdoor debuts on Saturday.
Jaden Lippett, in a loaded men's triple jump open field, recorded his first-ever event win at the collegiate level, recording a 15.53m [50'11.5"] fourth attempt. On the women's side,
Asia Phillips finished third overall and second among collegians in what was also a strong field. Her 13.28m [43'7"] effort landed her at No. 9 on the all-time program performance list.
Mid-distance
One of the more unexpected performances of the day came from
Ryan Maseman, who recorded a significant personal best in the 800m at 1:46.76. His career performance earned him the No. 9 spot in Florida's record books.
One heartwarming story from Saturday's proceedings was the inspiring return of Senior
Adrian Bichara. Bichara, after missing over a year while rehabilitating a career-threatening leg injury sustained during practice, posted a 1:53.66 time in his return to the track.
On the women's side, Jessica Edwards recorded a new personal best of 2:05.15 in her 2025 outdoor season debut.
Looking Ahead
Florida's next competition will again be in James G. Pressly Stadium, as the Gators Host the Tom Jones Memorial Invitational on April 18 and 19.
