A native of Aurora, Colo., Lang joins the Gators from USF
GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The Florida Gators Lacrosse team officially announced the addition of goalkeeper Alexa Lang to the program as a transfer on Wednesday afternoon.
The rising sophomore joins the Gators from USF, where she spent her first collegiate lacrosse season.
Lang, a native of Aurora, Colorado, was a four-star recruit in the 2025 class coming out of The John Carroll School in Maryland.
Before transferring to The John Carroll School, Lang played three seasons in Colorado at Colorado Academy, where she was named a 5A West Colorado All-Conference player in 2022, '23, and '24 and was a Colorado All-State selection in 2024.
During her one year at The John Carroll School in 2025, Lang was named a captain and earned a Baltimore Sun AEGIS First Team All-County honor. Lang was named a USA Lacrosse High School Academic All-American in 2023 and 2025 and was named to the 2025 USA Lacrosse Top 25 National High School Player of the Year watchlist and the 2025 Adrenaline Lacrosse All-American Watchlist
During the summer of 2025, Lang played with the Mexico Women's Lacrosse National Team during the Pan-American Women's Lacrosse Championships where she played in five games and made 26 saves.
Lang joins Clemson transfer Susan Lowther and a group of eight incoming freshman that will join the Gators for the 2026-2027 season.
