GAINESVILLE, Fla. – After sweeping in-state rival Miami on Wednesday evening, No. 10 Florida volleyball will have a quick turnaround with a pair of matches against Florida Atlantic and Troy over the weekend.
The Gators (5-1, 0-0 SEC) will open the weekend against FAU (3-2, 0-0 AAC) on Friday evening at 7 p.m. ET on SEC Network+, with Tom Collett and Nick Cheronis handling both television and radio calls. On Sunday, the Orange & Blue will meet Troy (2-2, 0-0 Sun Belt) for a 1 p.m. ET matchup on SEC Network+, with Ryan Urquhart and Missy Whittemore handling broadcast responsibilities.
Saturday will feature a neutral-site match between FAU and Troy at 2 p.m. ET. While no streaming will be available for the match, admission will be free for fans.

- Florida has won three-consecutive matches, claiming a 9-0 set advantage during the win streak. The streak marks the first time since a three-match stretch from Nov. 10-17, 2023, that UF has tallied three sweeps in-a-row (LSU, at Alabama, at Missouri).
- Florida's 3-0 victory over Miami was the challenge-clinching victory in the SEC/ACC Challenge, giving the SEC nine wins.
- The Orange & Blue currently boast the best defense in the SEC, holding opponents to a .147 hitting percentage on average. They also tally the second-most blocks per set in the conference at 2.81.
- Lily Hayes is sneaking up on her 500th career dig, currently holding 484.
- The Gators are ranked No. 10 in the Sept. 7 AVCA/TARAFLEX Top 25 poll. With this week's rankings, Florida volleyball is in the top 10 for the first time since the Sept. 2, 2024 poll, where they also sat at No. 10.
- The Gators have already tallied a pair of ranked victories, defeating No. 11 Minnesota, 3-1, as well as No. 20 Baylor, 3-0. With the victory over Minnesota, Florida now boasts a win over a top-25 school during the nonconference for the 13th-straight season.
- Florida was picked to finish fourth in the SEC Preseason Poll, behind favorite Kentucky, Texas and Texas A&M. Jordyn Byrd and Alec Rothe were both named to the Preseason All-SEC Team.
- FAU enters Wednesday's contest with a 3-2 mark, most recently falling to West Virginia in a battle, 3-2.
- The Owls were picked to finish fifth in the AAC, with outside hitter Olivia Hart earning All-AAC Preseason honors.
- Sequoia Layne leads the offensive effort with 40 kills at 2.35 per set, with Maya Van Herst posts 7.33 assists per set.
- The Owls have four athletes who have tallied over 40 digs on the year.
- Head coach Fernanda Nelson is in her 15th year with the Owls, and has guided FAU to three-consecutive 18+ win seasons.

- Haley Nash anchors the defense with 3.46 digs per set, while the Trojans average 1.46 blocks per set.
- Under head coach Josh Lauer, the Trojans have qualified for the National Invitational Volleyball Championship three times.
