Florida claimed its fourth-straight victory on Friday night.

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Kamryn Chaney posted 20 kills for the second time this season, helping lead No. 10 Florida volleyball past Florida Atlantic, 3-1 (23-25, 25-18, 25-15, 25-18), on Friday evening.

Chaney's 20 kills and 22 points were match-highs, while Logan King and Jordyn Byrd added 12 and 10 kills, respectively. Florida (6-1, 0-0 SEC) turned in its best offensive effort of the season as a team, hitting .341 behind Taylor Parks' 41 assists. The Orange & Blue also out-hit FAU (3-3, 0-0 AAC) .314-.153 and finished with the edge in both kills (58-44) and assists (57-44).

Defensively, Lily Hayes recorded her 500th career dig for UF in the fourth set and led all players with 18. Kira Hutson chipped in 11 digs, while King notched her first double-double of the season with 10. Up front, Florida controlled the net with an 8-4 edge in team blocks, four of them from Chaney.

Florida Atlantic got a balanced effort as a team, led by Sequoia Layne who finished with nine kills, two digs and two blocks, while Maya Van Herst rounded out the Owls' attack with 32 assists and 12 digs.

Set One - FAU 25, UF 23

Trailing 11-10, Florida got a boost from strong serving via Parks, with a service ace and kills from King and Alec Rothe putting the Gators back in front, 13-11.
The Owls took a late lead at 21-18, but a quick kill from Parks to cap off a 3-0 run evened the frame. The Owls would hold on for the set, however, 25-23.
Chaney recorded six kills as UF hit .300 as a team on 18 kills.
Defensively, Hayes tallied five of Florida's 17 digs, with Hutson, King and Bella Lee all recording three.
FAU hit .324 with 13 kills and two total team blocks.

Set Two - UF 25, FAU 18

The Gators were out to a faster start in the second frame, racing to a 5-1 advantage behind a block from Chaney and Rothe.
After a kill from Chaney off a Hayes assist and back-to-back FAU service errors, the Orange & Blue opened up a 15-8 lead heading into the media timeout.
The Owls climbed back to within two, but a 5-1 run helped by a Lee service ace and Parks kill reopened Florida's lead to six en route to a 25-18 set victory.
Chaney again led the offense with seven kills, as Florida was elite as a team, hitting .423, assisted by Parks' 13 assists.
Four total team blocks for the Gators helped bolster the defense, holding FAU to .030 hitting, while Rothe and Chaney each posted two blocks.

Set Three - UF 25, FAU 15

Florida Atlantic held a 4-1 edge early before the Gators evened the score at five with kills from Rothe and King.
With the score sitting at 12-11 in favor of the Orange & Blue, UF reeled off seven consecutive points, with a late exclamation point of two straight Chaney kills, to give themselves the largest lead of the set, 19-11. The Owls wouldn't get within six for the remainder of the game en route to the Gators' 25-15 win, which was secured by Amaya Thomas' first kill of the match.
Chaney and King combined for nine of UF's 13 kills on the team's efficient .385 hitting percentage.
The defense held FAU to below .100 hitting once again, this time at .086.

Set Four - UF 25, FAU 18

Hayes recorded her 500th career dig with the score sitting at 6-5 in favor of the Gators.
It was a back-and-forth affair through the media timeout with the score knotted at 14. A 4-0 spurt, with kills from Byrd and King, gave the Gators breathing room at 18-14.
The match ended on a block assist from Chaney and Rothe, extending Florida's winning streak to four.
Byrd's six kills bolstered the Florida offensive effort in the fourth.
Florida tallied four total team blocks, led by three block assists from Thomas.
