Jake Balliu enters his third season with the Gators as an equipment assistant for the football team in 2025.

In this role, Balliu assists in the day-to-day operations of the Football Equipment Room. His responsibilities include coordinating all areas of practice field set up, performing equipment/sled inspections; setting up the Coach Comm X-System for practices, assisting with student manager programs and helping with recruiting photo shoots.

Prior to joining Florida in 2023, Balliu was the Director of Equipment Services at Long Island University from 2022-23.

From 2015-21, Balliu played football at Winona State University where he compiled 123 receptions for 1524 yards and 13 receiving touchdowns in 44 games played. Additionally, Balliu returned two kickoffs for touchdowns and four punts for touchdowns.

The Lake Villa, Ill. native earned First Team NSIC All-Conference three times, Second Team NSIC All-Conference twice, 2017 Don Hansen Honorable Mention All-American, 2021 D2CCA Second Team All-American and is Winona State's all-time leader in punt return yards.
