No. 9 Gators Blank Georgia For Eighth Shutout

Three different Gators scored in Florida's 5-0 win at Georgia.
ATHENS, Ga. ‑Behind freshman Andi Sellers second-straight six point match, the No. 9 Florida soccer team (13-2-1, 5-1) defeated Georgia (10-4-1, 3-3) 5-0 for their tenth straight victory.  UF also recorded its eighth shutout of the season.
 
For the second straight match, Sellers put the Gators on the board first with a direct kick at the 10:00 point of the first half to put the Gators up 1-0. Erin Baxter added a header at the 32 minute mark of the first half to put the Gators up 2-0 at half time.  Baxter's goal, her sixth of the season, was her first since Sept. 21 against Cornell.
 
The physical match continued into the second half as Sarah Yohe scored her first of two goals of the match with a header from Sellers.  Sellers added her team-leading 15th goal of the season at the 50:0 point in the second half. 
 
Yohe added her second goal of the match to put the Gators up 5-0.  Sellers' six points give her a team-leading 39 points this season.  Sellers also passed Melissa Pini's freshman record for goals scored (11) with her 15th goal.
