  • Only 23 of those points were scored by Gators who will be suiting up on Thursday.

What Just Happened
  • Florida had its modest two-game win streak come to an end when it dropped an 82-75 setback to Auburn.
  • LSU had won seven straight games before its 74-48 loss at No. 5 Mississippi State on Sunday.

Familiar Faces on the Tiger Sideline
  • Veteran Mickie DeMoss joined the LSU coaching staff this season. DeMoss was the third head coach in Gator history, leading Florida to a 45-68 record from 1979-83.
  • Charlene Thomas-Swinson is in her second year on the LSU sideline. Thomas-Swinson was an assistant coach at UF under Carolyn Peck from 2002-05.

Twice the Fun

Gator Watch
  • Ronni Williams - the lone four-year senior on the roster - led UF in scoring as a sophomore and junior and is doing so again this season.
  • Williams became the 24th Gator to score 1,000 career points, doing so on Dec. 3 vs. Long Beach State.
  • In addition to scoring (18.4 ppg), Williams also leads the Gators in rebounding (8.2 pg) and is second for assists (41) this year.

Who's Hot
  • During the last FOUR games, Ronni Williams, the lone four-year senior on the team, is contributing 26.3 per game, hitting 74.1 percent (43-58) from the field, with 8.0 rebounds.
  • Tyshara Fleming has corralled a team-best 8.5 rebounds over the last FOUR games, in addition to 13.0 points and sinking 60.7 percent (17-28) from the floor.

Alma Mater/SEC Coaching Pride
  • Seven of the 14 SEC head coaches have a degree from an SEC school, however, Florida's Amanda Butler and Tennessee's Holly Warlick are the only two SEC head coaches currently at the helm of the program of which they once played.
  • Arkansas' Jimmy Dykes returned to coach his alma mater, but naturally didn't play for the women's hoops team.
  • Georgia's Joni Taylor played college ball at Alabama.
  • Kentucky's Matthew Mitchell is a graduate of Mississippi State.
  • LSU's Nikki Fargas starred at Tennessee.
  • Mississippi State's Vic Schaefer is a Texas A&M graduate.

Notes from Florida's Last Game: lost to Auburn, 82-75 (Jan. 1 in G'ville)
  • Auburn's 11 three-pointers and its defensive intensity forced Florida into 26 turnovers that the Tigers converted into 28 points and defeated the Gators, 82-75.
  • Eighteen of Florida's miscues came in the first half, yet the Gators were down just two at halftime, 36-34. The Tigers had jumped out to an early seven-point lead, but the Gators came back in the second quarter and even held a three-point cushion after Brooke Copeland's three-pointer with just under three minutes to play.
