GAINESVILLE, Fla. – Gator soccer wears their
pink kits this Thursday when they face Georgia for the 11
th Annual Kickin' for a Cure match. Action begins at 6:30 p.m. at the
Donald R. Dizney Stadium. Admission is free for all Gator regular-season home action.
Match Promotions:
As October is breast cancer awareness month, Florida puts aside the orange & blue to wear
pink for this match to salute all touched by the disease. Fans are encouraged to wear
pink to show their support.
Cancer takes many forms and the Gators want to recognize those affected. The Gators will wear wristbands with the support color of a cancer that has touched their lives. For example, sophomore
Lauren Evans chose an
orange wristband to celebrate her successful battle over leukemia in the last year.
Kids 12 and under can give their Halloween costumes a test run by wearing it to Thursday's match. After the competition, the Gators will be giving out candy to the trick & treaters.
Kids - join the Gators post-match for some trick or treat candy!
