The Gators are coming off a tough loss against No. 16 Loyola, where Florida dropped the 15-12 decision, while Navy is coming off a 14-6 win against Villanova.
This is just the second meeting between the two squads, with Florida holding the 1-0 series advantage. Last season's matchup was a 19-16 win for the Gators, where Florida registered a nine-goal comeback – the largest in program history.
The 17th-ranked Midshipmen are the fourth of eight IWLCA Top-25 opponents the Gators will face in their non-conference schedule this season. Florida will host No. 4 Syracuse, No. 3 North Carolina, and No. 14 Princeton; and will travel to No. 10 Stony Brook.
O'Leary's Insight
On what can be expected from Navy
"They are a very physical team and they are well coached. They have Kelly Larkin, who is probably one of the best attackers in the nation – she is a lefty and she will pose a bit of a problem for us if we allow her to have space and time. Defensively, they shift from zone to man-to-man, so we will have to be aware of what defense they are in to then adjust accordingly."

Brianna Harris will play her twin sister, Kayla Harris, for the first time when the Gators take on the Midshipmen on Saturday. Florida faced Navy last season, but Bri Harris was out for the season with an ACL injury. The Harris twins are Annapolis, Md. natives, so Bri will be returning to her home city to play for the first time and the two also celebrated their birthday on Thursday.
