The Gators have started the 2024-25 campaign with three solid wins to hold a 3-0 record. Florida will look to extend the win streak to four in Saturday's contest against the Hurricanes.

Florida to Face Hurricanes in Saturday Matinee

The Gators will welcome Miami to the Swamp on Saturday. The cross-state matchup is set for a noon tip-off with Florida-LSU football to follow at 3:30 p.m.
GAINESVILLE, Fla. — The Gators are set to host the Miami Hurricanes on Saturday afternoon. The state rivalry matchup will tipoff at 12 p.m. at the Exactech Arena.
 
The contest will mark Florida's fourth game of the 2024-25 season and the Hurricanes third. Neither Florida based team has tallied a loss onto their respective opening records, making Saturday a high stakes contest in the Swamp.

THE SERIES:
The overall series between the Gators and Hurricanes stands at 28-14. Florida has doubled Miami's wins dating back to 1975 and will look to add win no. 29 on Saturday afternoon.

GATORS x HURRICANES HISTORY:
Florida last saw the Hurricanes in Coral Gables on Dec. 11, 2022. The game was forced into overtime and resulted in a 76-73 win for the Gators. Senior Ra Shaya Kyle is the only Gator on the 2024-25 roster that was a member of the 2022 victory squad.
 
Before Florida's most recent win at Miami, Florida was on a two-game losing streak in the all-time series, falling 77-64 in 2010, and 80-75 in 2003. In the past ten matchups, Florida holds an 8-2 record over the Hurricanes.

FLORIDA'S LAST TIME OUT:
Florida will enter Saturday coming off a 69-point home victory over Chicago State. The Gators defeated the Cougars 104-35 on Tuesday night, garnering win number three of the 2024-25 season. Florida was led once more by freshman standout, Liv McGill with 21-points. McGill was one of six Gators to hit the double-digit mark in scoring.
 
On the boards Florida was led by Ra Shaya Kyle with 12 rebounds, followed by Alexia Gassett with 11. Both Kyle and Gassett secured a double-double as well, proving their versatility on both ends of the court. As a collective, Florida finished out Tuesday evening shooting 53.8 percent from the field and securing 58 rebounds.
