Florida Defeats North Florida to Tally Win Eight of Non-Conference Play

GAINESVILLE, Fla.— The Gators defeated North Florida 75-47 on Saturday afternoon to secure their seventh home win of the season. Senior Ra Shaya Kyle got Florida on the boards first and led the way with 18 points and nine rebounds. Kyle's performance was followed by Laila Reynolds and Liv McGill, both logging 14 points.

Defensively, Alexia Gassett led UF with 10 rebounds. Eight of her rebounds were defensive and the remaining two were offensive. Gassett has now led the Gators on the boards for a total of two outings this season.

IN THE FIRST:
  • The Gators scored a combined 20 points— 18 came from inside the paint
  • Kyle led in scoring with 10 points, shooting 4-7 from the field and 2-3 from the free throw line
  • UF out-rebounded the Ospreys 15-9
  • Kyle (5), Alexia Dizeko (4), and Gassett (3) were Florida's top re-bounders
 
IN THE SECOND:
  • Warren and Gassett led Florida on offense, each tallying four points
