Why UF?

As the end of high school was approaching, I was having a hard time deciding on what my future would hold. Florida has always been one of my choices, but I was indecisive and unsure of what path I should take. One week, though, there were so many signs indicating that I should attend UF, and later on in that week, I was accepted. From the moment I read my acceptance letter, I just had a great feeling about this place. The next day, I made arrangements to attend my first Dazzlers workshop and tour of the school. From that day on, I knew that UF would be my new home.

One thing Gator Nation doesn't know about me is that I am Haitian!

What legacy do you hope to leave for future Dazzlers?

I hope to leave a legacy of inclusion and diversity in the Dazzlers. One thing that my teammates have shown me is that everyone is different, but that is perfectly fine because it is what makes one a special individual. I am so grateful to have such accepting, comforting, and supportive teammates, which are now like my sisters, to uplift me in times when needed. I aspire to contribute to a similar environment for future dazzlers to come, making sure that they are aware of their worthiness and uniqueness.
