Nicole Levy wrapped up her second season as an assistant coach at the University of Florida at the conclusion of the 2024 campaign and will continue to run the Gators’ offense.

During the 2024 season, Levy helped the Gators have a historical offensive season.  The Gators ranked first nationally in scoring offense (17.61 goals/game), points per game (26.48), scoring margin (+9.09), shot percentage (.550), and clearing percentage (.959), along with ranking second in free position percentage (.639),  and third in assists per game (8.87). Florida's total of 405 goals, 204 assists, 609 points, 603 shots on goal and a .550 shooting percentages were all records in program history. Levy helped Gators attacker Maggi Hall win AAC Attacker of the Year and bring home IWLCA First Team All American. Seven different Gators totaled 30 or more goals. Levy was apart of the American Athletic Conference Coaching Staff of the Year and the IWLCA South Region Coaching Staff of the Year in 2024. 

During the 2023 season, the Gators went 17-4 overall and 5-1 in conference play. Florida claimed the American Athletic Conference tournament championship, the program’s 10th tournament championship overall and ninth-straight. Florida hoisted the trophy after defeating No. 6 James Madison 9-8 in Philadelphia, Pa. The team made its 12th-consecutive NCAA Tournament, earning hosting rights in the First & Second Round after notching the sixth-overall seed. Under Levy’s tutelage, the Gators finished 11th in the nation in scoring offense, scoring 14.86 goals per game. Florida also finished the season ranked in the Top-15 nationally in the following categories: clearing percentage (2nd | .939), save percentage (2nd | .545), shot percentage (3rd | .497), turnovers per game (5th | 11.86), assists per game (8th | 7.67), points per game (10th | 22.52) and scoring margin (12th | 5.52) Three Gators earned IWLCA All-American status (Emily Heller – Second Team, Emma LoPinto – Second Team, Sarah Reznick – Second Team), while Reznick (Second Team) was joined by Heller, LoPinto and Becky Browndorf as ILWomen All-Americans. Florida racked up five IWLCA All-Region honors, including three First Team spots in Heller, LoPinto and Reznick. UF’s Second Team honorees consisted of Becky Browndorf and Maggi Hall. The Gators garnered an astounding nine All-Conference selections, including five First Teamers, while also winning two of the major awards: Sarah Reznick (Goalkeeper of the Year) and Emily Heller (Midfielder of the Year). Four Gators were named to the Tewaaraton Watch List – Heller, LoPinto, Pavinelli and Reznick – with LoPinto and Reznick were named as Top-25 Nominees.  

Florida lacrosse head coach Amanda O'Leary announced July 8, 2022 the hiring of Nicole Levy as assistant coach for the Gators. 

Levy arrives in Gainesville after spending the last three seasons at the University of Colorado.

Levy Coaching History
Levy coached with the U20 Ireland National Team this past year and went to Hong Kong for the U20 Lacrosse World Championships. She served as the Player Development Advisor. 

During the 2022 season, Levy helped lead the Colorado Buffs to an 11-6 overall record, including wins over No. 10 Denver and No. 24 Stanford. Under Levy’s tutelage, the Buffs were led by attackers Sadie Grozier (49g, 9a) and Charlie Rudy (37g, 13a) – both of whom were named to the 2022 Pac-12 All-Conference Second Team.

During her second season, Colorado recorded an 8-7 record and finished 4-3 in Pac-12 play. The Buffaloes advanced to the championship game of the Pac-12 Tournament for the third consecutive year.

Levy’s first season with the Buffs was cut short due to the Covid-19 pandemic, but in that time, Colorado recorded a 3-2 record. In the final two games of the season, the Buffs scored a combined 40 goals against Oregon and Coastal Carolina.

Levy Playing History
Levy spent her four-year collegiate playing career at Syracuse University, while also earning a degree in Human Development & Family Science. During her tenure at Syracuse, she recorded 81 assists, ranking eighth all-time in SU’s history.

The East Islip, N.Y. native also finished 10th in the record books for total points (222) and was just the 10th Syracuse player to eclipse the 200-point mark. 

Levy was named to the Tewaaraton Watch List three times, earned IWLCA All-Region honors in each of her four season (two First Team selections, two Second Team selections) and was selected to the All-AAC Second Team during her senior campaign.

In her senior season, she started all 21 games for the Orange and totaled 57 points on 29 goals and 27 assists. Levy ranked second on the team as a junior with 51 points and as a sophomore, she tallied 25 goals and 22 assists for 47 points.

During her freshman campaign, she racked up all of the awards. Levy was named the Lacrosse Magazine Rookie of the Year, the AAC and ECAC Rookie of the Year, along with an Inside Lacrosse All-Rookie Team honor. The NCAA All-Tournament Team selection, she finished third on the team in points (68), goals (46) and assists (22), while earning 18 starts.

Levy also competed in the inaugural season of Athletes Unlimited in 2021, scoring 20 goals during the five-week season.
