Florida and Loyola are meeting for the ninth time in program history on Friday

BALTIMORE – Due to inclement weather in the Baltimore area on Saturday, the No. 12 Florida lacrosse team will now take on No.9 Loyola on Friday night.

Opening draw is set for 6 p.m. at Ridley Athletic Complex.

The Gators and the Greyhounds are meeting for the ninth time in program history, with Florida holding the 6-2 series advantage. Loyola took the last matchup between the schools, 17-6, in Gainesville, Fla. on Feb. 22, 2020.

In its last contest, Florida defeated the Liberty Flames 14-6, while Loyola topped Georgetown 16-6 on Wednesday night.

Scouting the Greyhounds

Loyola currently sits at No. 9 in the IWLCA/ILWomen Top-25 Poll after starting the 2022 season off 5-0
Through the first five games of the season, Livy Rosenzweig (15g, 6a), Sydni Black (13g, 4a), Jillian Wilson (9g, 5a), Sam Fiedler (9g, 4a) and Elli Kluegel (8g, 5a) are leading the way offensively for the Greyhounds
Wilson, Rosenzweig and Black are leading the way in the draw circle for Loyola, posting 33, 15 and 13, respectively
On the defensive end, Katie Detwiler has recorded seven caused turnovers in five games, followed by four apiece from Rosenzweig and Kluegel
Kaitlyn Larsson is seeing the majority of minutes in the cage for the Greyhounds, recording 38 saves with a .487 save percentage
