
No. 7 Gators Stay Home for Midweek Contest Against Penn

GAINESVILLE, Fla. – The No. 7/6 Florida Lacrosse team (4-2) gets to stay home at Donald R. Dizney Stadium as they welcome the Penn Quakers (2-3, 1-0 Ivy League) on Wednesday for matchup that will start at 12 p.m.
The Gators enter this contest after a 23-9 win against Mercer which saw 11 different Gators put the ball in the back of the net. Senior Kaitlyn Davies recorded a game high five points (3 G/2 A) as Clark Hamilton and Boo DeWitt each scored four goals and Gabbi Koury joined them with four points (3 G/1 A).
Scouting the Quakers
Penn is coming off their first conference game of year where they took down Dartmouth 14-10 in New Hampshire. The Quakers were led by their leading scorer Catherine Berkery who had three goals and two assists and Patricia Columbia-Walsh who also tallied three goals.
On offense, Penn is led by Catherine Berkery and Patricia Columbia-Walsh. Berkery leads Penn in points (20), goal (16) and shots (28) as Columbia-Walsh leads the team in assists with five. The Quakers' defense is anchored by goalkeeper Orly Sedransk, who has 44 saves on the season and a save percentage of .427 on the season, which ranks 53rd in the NCAA.
Penn is led by Karin Brower who is in her 27th season at Penn, and her 29th season overall as a head coach. During her 27 years at Penn, Brower has finished with at least 10 wins in 16 seasons, and have done it in 10 of the last 13 season
Surging Up the Rankings
Following the Gators 23-9 win over Mercer, multiple stats saw a big jump in the NCAA rankings. Florida saw their scoring offense (16.60) jump to 5th in the NCAA and their shooting percentage (.513) jump to 8th.
Scary Efficient
Following her four-goal performance, grad transfer Boo DeWitt's shooting percentage of .737 move to 3rd in the NCAA. Of her 19 shots this season, only three have been not on goal and 14 have found the back of the net.
Milestone Watch
Clark Hamilton Is two points away from becoming the 27th 100-point scorer in Florida Lacrosse program history. She is also 27 goals from becoming the 20th 100-goal scorer in program history.

- The Gators are 10-3 all time against the Ivy League, and last season they went 1-0 with an overtime win over Penn. Later this month, Florida will welcome another Ivy League to The Diz, when Dartmouth makes the trip down on March 21
- Clark Hamilton has registered a hat trick in all but one of Florida's games this season, bringing her career total of games with at least three goals to 15. In 12 of those 15 games, Hamilton has scored at least four goals.
