No. 5 Gators Kick Off Big 12 Tournament with Matchup Against UC Davis

AINESVILLE, Fla – The No. 5/4 Florida Gators Lacrosse team (14-2, 5-0 Big 12) will begin their 2026 Big 12 Conference Tournament run against UC Davis (7-8, 2-3 Big 12) at 4 p.m on Wednesday at Donald R. Dizney stadium as the Gator's look their take home their 13th conference tournament championship.
UF enters the Big 12 Tournament coming off a 19-6 win over UC Davis in the regular season finale. The Gators were led by Frannie Hahn (5 G/1 A) and Kaitlyn Davies (4 G/2 A) who each had six points.
Scouting the Aggies
UC Davis enters the Big 12 Tournament after falling to Florida 19-6 on April 25. The Aggies were led by Lauren Picardi (1 G/1 A), Tory Agnew (1 G/1 A) and Audrey Carr (2 G) who all had two points on the day
On offense, UC Davis is led by Jane Fox and Rhea Cosand. Fox leads the team in points (50), and goals (39), as Cosand leads the team in assists with 21 on the year. Both players were held without a point in the previous matchup. In cage, the Aggies turn to Emily Altshuler, who leads the team in saves (107), save % (.329) and in ground balls with 29. After a great freshman season, Clark Hamilton has once again stepped into another gear this season. Hamilton ended the regular season with 52 goals and 63 points, which is more than the 44 goals and 58 points she ended the 2025 regular season with. The Tewaaraton top-25 nominee currently has 11 hat tricks on the season.
Gators Still Winning
The Gators extended their winning streak to 11 games with their win over UC Davis, which is tied with Stony Brook and Delaware for the longest in the country. During this 11-game winning streak the Gators have outscored their opponents 178-86, outshot their opponents 361-270, won more draw controls 164-117, and the goalies have a save percentage of .550.
Conference Perfection
UF's 19-6 win over UC Davis moved them to 5-0 in Big 12 play in 2026, which is the 12th time in the program's 16 seasons that they did not lose a game in regular season conference play.
